Acidnewts are amphibious humanoids native to acid lakes in volcanic regions that are closely related to Firenewts. Their bodies are covered in a thin coat of acidic slime and they are are able to spit globs of acid at their foes.

Acidnewts are slim and are between 5' and 5' 5" in height. They have smooth skin in mottled shades of green and yellow with frog-like heads on long serpentine necks. Their bodies are long and glossy with no scales, they have short plump arms and legs.

The acidic slime covering their bodies mean that Acidnewt warriors either wear no armour or hardened leather plates. Typically they carry wooden shields and scimitars with wooden hilts. They might also use wood-hafted javelins and spears.
