Six Ls

Six Ls is a period-3 oscillator that can be thought of as a compact form of loading dock, as they share the same rotor, but six Ls has a narrower stator. Its name comes from the fact that it is composed of six L tetrominoes (tails).

Synthesis

A 20-glider synthesis was found by Jeremy Tan on March 29, 2019 based on a soup submitted to Catagolue.[1] This was improved to 18 gliders by Mark Niemiec two days later.[2]
