Walter Gotell

German actor who lived from 1924-1997.

Fake Russian par excellence with many such roles to his name, most notably his role as Anatol Gogol in the James Bond series, this is not his only Fake Nationality- he has been a Fake Brit on occasions too, appearing in 56 episodes of Softly Softly.

Outside Bond (he was also Morzeny in From Russia with Love), Gotell also played Nazis a bit. He started playing them as far back as 1942 and some of these include:

• We Dive At Dawn- an uncredited Luftwaffe captain
• The Red Beret (US title Paratrooper)
• I Was Monty's Double
• Airwolf "Fight Like A Dove"
• Star Trek: The Next Generation - Kurt Mandl. A Hey, It's That Guy!! moment if there ever was one.
