Walk the Line/YMMV

  • Alternate Character Interpretation: Compressing Johnny Cash's life into a few hours makes him come off like kind of a Jerkass sometimes. The most prominent example would be appearing to lose interest in his wife and children only a few scenes after begging her to marry him (actually a period of over a decade). Also, some of his attempts to romance June come off poorly without context.
  • Crowning Music of Awesome: Pretty much every song, and the actors did a surprisingly good job at mimicking the styles of their characters.
  • Nightmare Fuel: The scene in which Johnny's brother, Jack, dies rather gruesomely. A table saw is involved.
  • Tear Jerker: Basically, THE WHOLE MOVIE.
