• Write Who You Know: The comic's creator Chris Donald has said that, among others, Brown Bottle is based on one of his friends and Biffa Bacon on an incident he witnessed where a young boy began an unprovoked assault with the approval of his parents shouting and cheering him on. His brother and comic co-founder Simon Donald in turn based Sid the Sexist on a friend who had a lot of bravado around women but was completely clueless when it came to chatting them up, and Mr. Logic on his and Chris's elder brother Steve, who was diagnosed with autism, but nonetheless took his parodying well and subsequently made his own contributions to the comic and its website.
