Versailles (band)/YMMV
- Conspiracy Theories / Epileptic Trees - Due to the lack of information about Jasmine You's death, many fans have attempted to fill in the blanks. Guesses go from fairly sane (AIDS; allergic reaction to an injection; heart disease) to very unlikely (suicide; cancer; swine flu) to downright ridiculous (Hizaki and/or Masashi bumped him off; he's still alive and it's all a publicity stunt).
- Crowning Moment of Awesome: When performing in England in 2010, Hizaki slipped and fell to the floor hard. This wouldn't normally be awesome, aside from the fact that he still keeps playing and barely misses a note.
- Crowning Music of Awesome: "Faith & Decision" has the honor of being an Epic Rocking song that truly lives up to the name.
- Epic Riff: Too many to count.
- Fan Dumb: A small minority of fans hate Masashi just for, well, not being Jasmine You.
- Fandom Rivalry: Friendly tip: Don't mention The GazettE in the comments of a Versailles video. It won't end well.
- Fanon: There is a rumour that Kamijo was married to a woman named Audrey, who died of cancer. Nobody really knows where this started--it wasn't any sort of official source--but it's stuck quite well.
- Harsher in Hindsight: Jasmine's death carried a nasty irony due to the fact that, in the band's backstory, they were supposed to be immortal.
- Ho Yay: This. Then there's the moment in the "MASQUERADE" PV when Kamijo dances with Hizaki...
- Memetic Mutation: A particular line Kamijo says in the first part of the "ASCENDEAD MASTER" short film.
"Do you like rose?"
- Narm: "Gekkakou" contains a string of Harry Potter spells as lyrics. Whether the band realised this--or if they did, realised how odd it would sound--is up for debate. Since those particular lyrics are growled/shrieked, some don't notice that they're HP spell names on the first listen.
- Narm Charm: Whenever Kamijo sings in English (or Engrish, in some cases), he mispronounces at least something. No one minds--people usually just find it funny.
- Recycled Premise: Subversion: Versailles' visuals are basically a new spin on a mash-up of everyone's old bands' concepts.
- Replacement Scrappy: Averted with Masashi--he's a great bassist in his own right, the fans consider him to be a full member of the band as opposed to just "not-Jasmine," and most fans consider him to be the best replacement for Jasmine You who could have been picked. (The fact that he trained under Jasmine for a while before his death probably helps.) There are still fans who dislike Masashi simply for not being Jasmine, but they're a pretty small minority.
- Viewer Gender Confusion: It's rare to guess Hizaki and Jasmine You as men on the first attempt. Teru also gets this occasionally.
