Unskilled but Strong/Playing With
Basic Trope: They don't have much skill...but they don't need it.
- Straight: Bob has Super Strength, but his strategy is pretty much "punch until it stops moving".
- Exaggerated: Bob has a vast array of superpowers, but zero skill.
- Justified: Since Bob can rely on his superpowers, he doesn't need to fall back on skill.
- Bob is a Reluctant Warrior who Just Wants To Be Normal. He doesn't want to use his powers and so doesn't train.
- Inverted: Weak but Skilled
- Subverted: Bob is temporarily depowered. He reveals that he's quite skilled, but just keeps it to himself.
- Alternatively, Bob has many other skills aside from his physical strength.
- Double Subverted: ...But he's only skilled when depowered.
- Parodied: Bob is a drooling moron who does nothing but punch people; his allies have to make sure they've pointed him in the right direction before they turn him loose.
- Deconstructed: The Big Bad successfully kills Bob by taking advantage of his lack of skill.
- Reconstructed: Bob gets lucky and manages to kill the Big Bad anyway.
- On the brink of death, Bob gets a Heroic Second Wind, New Powers as the Plot Demands and fumbles his way to victory with them.
- Zig Zagged: Sometines Bob fights with skill, sometimes he fights with strength.
- Averted: He's a fair mix of skilled and strong.
- Enforced: ???
- Lampshaded: "Skill? I don't need skill!"
- Invoked: Bob's Evil Mentor, who is in cahoots with the Big Bad, deliberately does not teach him or teaches him the wrong things so that he will not be a threat to the Big Bad.
- Exploited: See Deconstructed.
- Defied: "Screw this, I need to start training if I want to keep up." Boxing Lessons for Superman
- Discussed: ???
- Conversed: ???
