A list of subjective tropes in the Heroes Fanfic Unmade:

• Alternative Character Interpretation - Peter tends to trust in his gut and emotions rather than on logical thought, this makes him particularly dangerous when pushed through one too many rounds of Break the Cutie.
• Better Than Canon - A bit subjective but read this with its excellent, gritty characterizations and character development and then remember the changes of character that occurred in Volume 3:

Sylar: You're my mom, really? OK, I'll be good now.
Peter: Drr, my alignment is now Stupid Evil!

• High Octane Nightmare Fuel - Imagine you're trapped in a tiny cell, fed only enough to keep you alive, regularly drugged, tortured and experimented on by people who will not even acknowledge your humanity, you have no hope of rescue because your friends and family think you're dead, and your only company is your worst enemy, the Serial Killer in the next room.
