Unico/YMMV
- Alas, Poor Villain: Lord Kuruku's demise.
- Anvilicious: Subtlety isn't Unico's strong point.
- Crowning Moment of Awesome: In "Fantastic Adventure", Unico has just had his horn cut off by the Big Bad, and his friends, Katy and Beezle, run to his body. Katy mourns his death by cradling him and bargaining away her being human if he'll just open his eyes, while Beezle declares that "I don't need this stupid horn! I'll give it back to you! Please open your eyes..." And plants the horn on Unico's head... cue Unico's taking a level in badass and proceeding to one-hit kill a 50-story tall demon. What Kind of Lame Power Is Heart, Anyway? The best kind!
- High Octane Nightmare Fuel: Oh, man, where do we start? Probably with the Baron from Fantastic Adventures getting impaled by a turret spike, then turning into a giant demon that vomits red bats, moving on to to just about any scene with Lord Kuruku in Island of Magic, his backstory, and the fate of anyone he decides is annoying him.
- Not to mention Kuruku's voice. It starts out half-creepy, half-silly because of how childish it sounds... then he gets serious, and he's not silly anymore...
- Narm Charm: Oh, this series has a lot of it. The pilot seems to escape the worst of it.
- Tear Jerker: Given the combination of his abandonment-laden backstory and the "killed with kindness" aspect of his death, Kuruku manages to pull this off in the second movie.
