• Angst? What Angst?: The whole reason Koishi sealed off her Third Eye in the first place was because of the fear and hatred directed at the mind-reading satori species. Now, however, she simply bounces back really quickly (though this can be attributed to Flandre's presence). In general, Muffin goes out of his way to avoid angst anyway...
• Arc Fatigue: The Rethinking the Natural Law arc, which lasted over three months, partly due to the Retcon and partly due to Schedule Slip while the Retcon was going on.
  • Create.swf Adventures also ended up having a little too much length and a little too little interest for the Final Boss, owing to Muffin's insistence on having a Final Boss, a role for which Masha turned out to be entirely unsuitable.
• Crowning Music of Awesome (Crowning Moment of Awesome?): Edge of Spacetime ~ Navy-Blue Generation. What makes it a borderline crowning moment is that for the most part, it, Aperture Girl, and the beginning of Broken History ~ Time Paradox apparently aren't remixes of anything the way The Inevitably Forbidden Game ~ Icemilk Magic and Innocence and Strange Bird of the Moon, Illusion of Mysterious Cat ~ On The Shoulder of Hisou Tensoku (which is also awesome music) are--Muffin just created them himself. Talk about going all out.
  • To give "Create.swf Adventures" the proper feel, he remixed Maiden's Capriccio ~ Dream Battle in the What Pumpkin style. Specifically, he made it sound like a mix of Maiden's Capricco and Sburban Countdown.
  • And then later, he mixed "Umbral Ultimatum" with "Solar Sect of Mystic Wisdom ~ Nuclear Fusion" -- Or rather, "Subterranean God ~ Sunfire" (which does borrow a bit from "Solar Sect of Mystic Wisdom ~ Nuclear Fusion", for obvious reasons), a fact that only became obvious once "Subterranean God ~ Sunfire" finally debuted on its own in the comic.
• Funny Aneurysm Moment/Hilarious in Hindsight: June 15, 2010: Marisa, when re-reading Homestuck, has "always felt that [Gamzee was kind of awesome, in his own way.] December 31, 2010: Gamzee is declared the most important character in Homestuck. January 24, 2011: Gamzee goes homicidally sober. (According to Word Of Muffin, "There are no contradictions here.")
• Memetic Mutation: Among the fans, "MISSION FAILEO" is a minor meme (owing to Marisa Gear Solid and a block-font in which D was identical to O, with a Lampshade Hanging in Create.swf Adventures).
• Older Than They Think: A number of fans have mistakenly thought that Muffin created Meimu (who existed for years before Muffin decided to use her). Of course, they have nothing on the one fan who thought that Muffin had created and popularized Flandre x Koishi...
• Rooting for the Empire: In the confrontation with Yasora in Create.swf Adventures, Muffin forgot to include a single line which would have made it much more clear that Yasora intended to burninate the countryside; he added it back in after he realized this (after the fight was over!), but there were several readers who felt that the fight wasn't really all that justified.
