• Moral Dissonance: Most of character and to some extent the fans hated Yayoi for what she has done, which is understandable. Yes Yayoi created Poor Communication Kills with Yumi and Toshio that almost ended the relationship and lied to Miyabi father about being pregnant to get him to stay. However, she apologize for both her action and latter brought Miyabi father into the family again and no one said thank you. During that time Miyabi had physical assualt Yumi more than once in front witness no less, and yet everyone tell Yumi to walk off and still go to the concert despite being threaten. While Miyabi doesn't face charges because he Wangst over his mom. When Yayoi attempted to kill Yumi all the characters condemn Yayoi and try to comfort Miyabi. But it was Miyabi fault that this mess happen he told his family that he was going to fall in love with Yayoi to try to get over Yumi. All of his friends and family knows that wrong and they do? Nothing, not even tell Yayoi's father, their manager, what Miyabi was doing. Yet everyone treat Yayoi like a monster while Miyabi get a free pass.
• Take That, Scrappy!: Much of the fandom rejoiced when Akito, out of all people, gives Yayoi a Shut UP, Hannibal over the phone, coupled with "The Reason You Suck" Speech.
• The Scrappy: It's hard to find someone who is a fan of Yayoi, who gets the active brunt of hate from Die for Our Ship Miyabi × Yumi fans. The fact that Yayoi is so well disliked is Lampshaded further by the fact that only Yumi, Toshio, Akito, and maybe Miyabi regard her kindly. Especially when she falls into her Bitch in Sheep's Clothing and Manipulative Bitch tendencies, going so far as to nearly strangle Yumi to death, she'll most likely be the character anyone will name as their least favorite.
• Wangst: Miyabi, and fans have been getting sick of it as time's gone on. Yes, his mother died and his dad withdrew from the family after her death; that is understandable. However, Miyabi also has friends that are always there for him, and a sister whose Number One concern has always been his well being. Plus he's the leader of a band with said friends that is very popular and is heading for mainstream stardom. Lastly Yayoi love him so much she willing to do anything for him. Yet he treats these same friends like dirt, barely acknowledges them at best. And he bullies Yumi, whom he barely knew, just because of her slight resembelence to his mother (which everyone did call him out on) and then falls in love with said girl, which he tries to deal with by leading another girl on and toying with her feelings (Yayoi may be nuts, but no girl deserves that). By this point, most fans are feeling less sorry for him and more waiting for someone to give him another good punch in the face.
  • Recent events seem to show that indeed, the band (Toshio epsecially) have had enough, and are dealing an ultimatum to Miyabi, hoping he'll finally get some mental counseling.
• Yoko Oh No: Some female classmates don't take it well that Yumi is dating Toshio.
