The Tower of Druaga/YMMV
The anime
- Alas, Poor Villain: Despite what he's done, what's happened to Gilgamesh is sad.
- Crowning Moment of Awesome: Gilgamesh's defeat at the hands of Uragon.
- Cliché Storm: The first episode is largely a collection of all the Heroic Fantasy tropes that you can think of, and a few more that you've forgotten.
- Complete Monster: Neeba. Hating the gods and doing something about it, fine, but wanting to destroy everything and kill everyone just because you dislike your brother? That's too much.
- In one of the episodes, after their father came home from the war (and promptly died), Neeba called him a coward. And he was thrown out of the house. Then he was trained by Gremica, and possibly never came into contact with Jil until the start of the series. And that would explain Neeba's dislike of him in the 1st episode.
- Crowning Moment of Awesome: Jil's attempting to gain party members in episode 2 of Aegis, he is mocked and assaulted for his For Great Justice speech but stands his ground to the point of intimidating his opposition into fleeing the scene. All while thieves fail to steal his Bag of Holding because they can't lift it.
- Marty Stu: Jil in the first episode is a parodically blatant one.
- Moral Event Horizon: Neeba, either since his betrayal in season 1, or his killing Henaro.
- Tear Jerker: Done to hell and back in episode 7.
The game
- Americans Hate Tingle: Or more specifically, Americans Hate Guide Dang It! Moments.
- That One Level: Level 13. It contains a treasure necessary to beat the game, that can only be obtained by killing all the Teleport Spamming enemies on the floor. Also the slimes. And this is assuming you even knew what to do.
