The Sonneteer

"Why poetry you ask? A question fair
to pose! This liberating form distracts

my inner critic’s dark censorious stare."
Will, narrator of The Sonneteer, Form is Liberating

The Sonneteer by T.J. Radcliffe is a narrative poem told in the form of a series of daily sonnets sent as e-mails from Will to Adelia, both graduate students at a Canadian university. It consists of 195 Shakespearean sonnets, written between Midsummer's Day 2009 and the Spring equinox 2010.
