The Snowman/Headscratchers

• Another cartoon adaptation based loosely on the Father Christmas Graphic Novels by the same author establishes that the Snowlems don't die when their bodies melt. So what do they do with themselves in the summertime, when there are no snowmen to Body Surf into? Can they possess other items like department-store mannequins, soft toys etc, or do they just sort of drift around in the etherial plane for nine months of the year?
• They were worried about the snowman sneezing and waking up the parents, but not about riding a motorcycle? (And the motorcycle, in fact, didn't wake them up?)
