The Search for WondLa/Fridge

Fridge Horror

• In The Search for Wondla, there are two that stand out:
  • The first is when the main character, Eva Nine, Escapes from the underground compound which she has lived in her entire life in. She runs toward the above entrance to another compound, only to discover it (and presumably most of its neighbors) to be long over grown and inhabited by a strange looking alien. This doesn't seem bad, until you realize that this could very well make her the only human on Orbona Aka Earthleft alive.
  • The second comes later, after Otto the giant waterbear is introduced. Rovender Kitt, the alien living in the compound, mentions how when his species and several others first found the planet, it was dead. After the Planet of the Apes Ending, putting two and two together brings the realization that something forced humans to live underground and left the surface so uninhabitable that only freakin' waterbears could survive.
