The Parent Trap (1998 film)/Heartwarming

  • Chessy's reaction to discovering that "Hallie" was actually Annie.
  • When Chessy meets up with Lizzie after so many years, Chessy admits her doubts that Lizzie doesn't remember her. Instead, Lizzie gives her an enthusiastic greeting and a kiss on the cheek.
  • Natasha Richardson's speech at the end of the movie, and Dennis Quaid's response.

Hallie: It took us around thirty seconds after you guys left for us to realize we didn't want to lose you two again.
Lizzie: [wide-eyed] We?
Nick: We. I made the mistake of not coming after you once, Lizzie. I'm not gonna do that again, no matter how brave you are.
Lizzie: And I suppose you expect me to just go weak at the knees and fall into your arms and cry hysterically and say we'll figure this whole thing out, a bi-continental relationship with our daughters being raised here and there and... you and I just picking up where we left off and growing old together and... and... C'mon, Nick, what do you expect? To live happily ever after?
Nick: Yes. To all of the above. [tenderly] Except you don't have to cry hysterically.
Lizzie: Oh yes I do!
[cue "Shut Up" Kiss and truly epic snog]
