- Hey, It's That Guy!: Like most other genre anthologies, both series feature a host of recognizable actors, often before they became famous.
- In the original series: Martin Sheen, Edward Asner, Robert Culp, Robert Duvall, William Shatner, Eddie Albert, Carroll O'Connor, Donald Pleasence, James Doohan, etc.
- In the Revival: Mark Hamill, Clancy Brown, Brent Spiner, Jason Priestley, Lou Diamond Phillips, Ryan Reynolds, etc.
- In both series: Leonard Nimoy, Cliff Robertson.
- Adam West and Ted Knight both appear in the TOS episode "The Invisible Enemy". Sadly, they have no scenes together.
- One Revival episode featured Terri Hawkes, the english voice actress for Sailor Moon.
- Another revival episode featured both Don S. Davis and Beau Bridges (albiet via flashback) in the same episode.
- What Could Have Been: The 1998 version of The Outer Limits Companion includes an appendix which provides detailed plot synopses of TOS scripts and premises that were never filmed. It also has details on rewritten and Deleted Scenes from the finished episodes.
