The Neverhood/YMMV
- And the Fandom Rejoiced: Recently, it has been announced that it will get an Updated Rerelease for portable platforms. The fandom celebrated like animals.
- Crowning Music of Awesome: Death Garden Jive. Enough said.
- The soundtrack of both games, really. There's a good reason why the soundtrack still sells.
- Draco in Leather Pants: Klogg. Ooh boy...
- Ear Worm: Terry Scott Taylor's score, best described as bluegrass and Dixieland jazz mixed with Acapulco Gold. Every track is arguably an earworm in its own right.
- Genius Bonus: Several of the stories in the Hall of Records get much funnier if you're familiar with the esotericisms being parodied (like Gnosticism).
- There are some jokes (like Willie's "Absalom" crack) that only make sense if you've read the Bible.
- Germans Love David Hasselhoff: The Japanese looove Neverhood. So much so the publishers of the Japanese port made their own Gaiden Game for it (without the original creators input or consent).
- Not to mention a very large percentage of the fandom is from Poland. There wasn't even a Polish translation of the game. There was a Russian translation, but there's only a few fans from Russia, interestingly.
- Memetic Mutation: The silly soundtrack of the game is often used as background music to Garry's Mod videos.
- Non Sequitur Scene: Frenchie the Tick, along with various other random moments.
- Padding: The hall of records, as well as the memory puzzle.
- Player Punch: "Bil, hang on!"
- What Do You Mean It Wasn't Made on Drugs?: Probably the most flagrant example of this trope in all of Doug TenNapel's body of work.
