The Mighty Boosh/YMMV

  • Awesome Music: Happens at least once per episode
    • "He's so bright and milky-white, shining down upon the grou-ou-ound. EV'RYBODY LOOK AT DE MOON!"
  • Non Sequitur Scene: At least once an episode.
    • Arguably, the whole show is one big BLAM.
  • Crosses the Line Twice: Many instances, but the Hitcher is the number one offender.
    • Even more so in the Book of Boosh where it's revealed his favourite hobbies are "Playing cards and raping"
      • Yet another Hitcher example: In the first live show, he shows off the freshly-severed heads of Howard and Vince, then proudly proclaims (and demonstrates) to the audience how he had his devilishly cockney way with them. Decapitating the main characters? Shocking! Fucking their remains? Hilarious!
  • Ear Worm: "Jean-Claude Jacquettie" and "Love Games" especially.
  • Ensemble Darkhorse: Many people didn't know that this show existed until they traced it back from Old Gregg.
  • Fan-Preferred Couple: Despite the fact that a) Howard and Mrs Gideon were never a couple, and b) it was obvious that she was never meant to be a serious contender for Howard's affections, it doesn't stop fans hating her, probably because she distracted from the UST between Howard and Vince. Many breathed a sigh of relief when she did not appear in the other two seasons. The Pencil Case Girl received the same treatment.
  • Foe Yay: A very disturbing example between the Hitcher and Howard.
  • Fridge Brilliance: In The Hitcher's third appearance he appears to have lost his haggard skin and witch-like nose. At first it may appear to be laziness or forgetfulness on the wardrobe department's behalf. Then you remember that you last saw him being melted in the Fountain of Youth.
  • Fridge Horror: Howard being informed that Charlie likes him, and watches him while he sleeps...
  • Memetic Mutation:
    • "I'm Old Gregg!"
      • This one is so bad that many people will shout this with enthusiasm and yet have no idea the show exists.
    • "Who the f-- is John Simm?!?"
    • "I'm the spirit of jazz"
    • "OW!! Man, my hat's on fire!!"
    • John Simm's The Master! How dare he.
  • Moral Event Horizon: In "Strange Tale of the Crack Fox", Vince lets Howard take the fall for him and get fired because it results in him getting a nice cape. Likewise, in "Call of the Yeti", in exchange for the location of the titular Yeti, Howard looks the other way toward Kodiak Jack attempting to rape Vince.
    • Dixon Bainbridge is happy to murder, mutate and con anyone and anything just to earn himself an extra Euro
  • Nightmare Fuel: The Hitcher, the Crack Fox, Old Gregg, take your pick!
    • Charlie, the Hubba-Bubba nightmare!
    • The Moon, unholy emperor of Uncanny Valley. It... haunts my dreams.
      • "When...when you are the moon, you pretty much split people down the middle. Some go: awww, look at the moon up there with his creamy white face. He's all gentle. While others go: UGH! He's a vanilla rapist, get 'im away from my kids."
    • There is a terrifying moment in "Electro" when the Spirit of Jazz looks to the camera, and his pupils dilate.
    • The Crack Fox. There was a deleted scene (About one and a half minutes in) in which he sings a song about being "a fancy man" and having "a little foxy plan", presumably removed to prevent mass burnings of The Mighty Boosh DVDs.
    • Black Frost, good God.
  • What Do You Mean It Wasn't Made on Drugs?: Played completely straight. Noel responded to this by saying the writing process actually takes a lot of thought and drugs would want to make you do anything other than writing, and that he and Julian allegedly tried to write on acid once and just ended up staring at a spider on the floor for six hours.
  • The Woobie: Howard; when he's not being a complete stuffed-shirt, he's usually a combination of this and The Chew Toy
