The King and the Clown/YMMV
- Damsel Scrappy: Gong-gil could be construed as this. His defining character trait is meekness and Jaeng-sang spends most of the time trying to protect him from being preyed on or threatened by other men, which he himself does nothing about. On the other hand, he's probably the most compelling character in the movie and gets off as being an extremely passive Woobie.
- The Woobie: Gong-gil. Jaeng-sang is an Iron Woobie by the end of the film, still retaining his Heroic Spirit.
