The Iron Lady/YMMV

  • Tear Jerker: Whatever your opinion on Margaret Thatcher, the ending, where she finds herself washing out a teacup after promising Denis she wouldn't end her life doing that, is tragic. For someone who was, above all else, strong to have fallen into such a pathetic condition is sad no matter what you think of the person she used to be.
  • How about the bit where she finally lets go of Denis?

Margaret: I don't want to be alone.
Denis: You'll be all right, you always have been.

    • Particularly poignant because you can't know whether he means "You've always been all right" or "You've always been alone".
  • Hatedom: Trailers for this were actually booed in Scottish Cinemas, though this is more due to who it's portraying than the film itself
