The Gates/Headscratchers

• In "The Monster Within", Dylan mentions moving into the Gates when Emily was "a few months old," but Emily was adopted. Shouldn't the processing take longer than that? Maybe he used some unrevealed vampire power to speed it up.

• Brett can't run until Lukas is better because he's the alpha, but he goes to Coach Ross, who refers to himself as pack beta, for help, and seems to rank beneath him. Are there multiple packs involved, or did "alpha" mean "in charge of the teenage werewolves"?
  • There seem to be multiple packs involved. The coach is the beta of the main, adult pack, while Lukas is alpha of the rebellious teenage pack.
