• Acceptable Professional Targets: Almost every lawyer aside from Mitch is made out to be a complete villain at worst and a Punch Clock Villain at best.
  • Justified in that the only other lawyers we see are at the titular firm, which deliberately selects, corrupts, and trains their members to become this over time -- or kills them if they don't. Mitch's attempt to escape this process with both his integrity and his life is the entire driving force of the plot.
