The Ben Chatham Adventures/YMMV
- Anvilicious: LBC's morals tended to be...unsubtle.
- Bile Fascination: It has become by far the most "popular" series in Who fandom due to this.
- Creator's Pet - 95% of the time it's either the Doctor or UNIT that saves the day, but for some bizarre reason they divert the credit away from themselves and praise Ben to the high heavens, even when he only has the most peripheral involvement in stopping the bad guys.
- Crowning Moment of Funny - Sparacus actually wrote to Doctor Who Magazine on one occasion, asking them why they had never featured Ben Chatham in any of their articles. They responded "Er...who?"
- Designated Hero - Ben. It's doubtful that anyone would realize he's supposed to be the hero, or at least one of the the heroes, if they weren't actually told.
- Marty Stu - Chatham, of course.
- Specifically, Ben is a Jerk Stu.
- Memetic Mutation
- Untrue!
- Unsubstantiated assertion!
- Most bizarre...
- Untrue!
- So Bad It's Good
- Unfortunate Implications - Sparacus' habit of murdering school girls in his stories.
- Wangst - there is nothing else to describe what unfolds every time Craig Chatham appears. Ben himself isn't exactly free from this either.
- Vocal Minority - or so the author claims.
- What the Hell, Casting Agency? - Shortland (nee Coronation) Street actor and former no-hit wonder Adam Rickitt was selected by sparacus as the perfect choice to portray his upper-class, absinthe-swilling archaeologist hero.
- Similarly, Sparacus's choice of actress to "play" Katie Ryan is...Belgian pop star Kate Ryan.
- And, of course, there's Shakey Jake, played by one of the experts from Time Team (who is, ironically, an actual archaeologist).
