Hey, It's That Voice!:Funimation's dub pulled out an all-star cast for the film.
- Apparently when Watanuki isn't being ~~Noriko Jinnouchi~~ ~~Riza Hawkweye~~ Yuuko's slave, he's doing service on OZ with Dean Venture
- May Chang really likes baseball. And while we're on FullMetal Alchemist: Brotherhood, this troper thinks that Kazuma Ikezawa sounds like some one who might have spent a lot of time in a suit of an armor. And Nana Jinnouchi apparently has a hidden skill in Automail Mechanics.
- And yet AGAIN with FMA, Gracia Hughes as Noriko Jinnouchi. Doctor Mansaku Jinnouchi was also Yuki in both the original and Brotherhood. Apparently xxxHoLic and Full Metal Alchemist was a theme in choosing VAs for the dub.
  - Rather minor one but worth noting that the kid with the bowl haricut is Pride
- Natsuki's English voice sounds like Holo and Priscilla.
  - Which is fitting that Uncle Wabisuke is also Kraft Lawrence.
  - And he drives a white Mazda RX-7...
  - Natsuki looks and sounds a lot like Nakasugi.
- Watching the dubs for Evangelion 2.22 and Summer Wars in the same day is an... interesting experience, especially when you realize that both films have a suave, unkempt character of dubious political allegiance who not only look, but now sound extremely similar. Not to mention Rei seems a lot more chipper all of a sudden, and Listen closely and you might hear Mari somewhere in the background too.
- Hiei and Jiro were in there somewhere as well.
If you pause to read the list of people who solved the initial encryption for Love Machine, you'll find quite a few real-world notable mathematicians.
If you also pause during the combats in the virtual battleground (in particular right after Kazuma's first defeat, which has a good still image) you can see the tournament inscription ends with "...FOR THE GLORY OF THE INTERNETS".
What Could Have Been: Recent news revealed that Summer Wars was rejected by Warner Brothers... in which case, an entirely new dub would've had to be made! Who knows how much the chances of an Oscar nomination would've changed if that had happened!
