Street Fighter EX/Trivia
- Bad Export for You: With the exception of EX3, all the endings in the overseas versions were removed completely and replaced with a generic congratulatory message.
- Hey, It's That Voice!:
- Yuri Amano voices Hokuto. She'd also go on to voice Ibuki in Street Fighter III: New Generation and all subsequent appearances until Super Street Fighter IV, where Ayumi Fujimura takes over.
- Banjo Ginga voices C. Jack.
- Bin Shimada voices D. Dark.
- Issei Futamata is the voice of Skullomania. That means that he's also Kinkotsuman (who Skullo seems to resemble) and Gold LIGHTAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAN!!!!!
- Chika Sakamoto voices Pullum Purna.
- Allen is voiced by Osamu Hosoi. Yup, that's Dan you hear screaming "FAIYA FORCE!" and "TWIPOL BREAK!"
- Believe it or not, but Garuda's seiyuu... is also none other than Osamu Hosoi. You can damn near hear Dan's fiery passion during Garuda's kiais.
- You may recognize the name Hikari Tachibana, the voice of Blair, as the seiyuu of Tetra, Alouette, and the Shirayuki twin sisters.
- Kaneto Shiozawa is the voice of Kairi.
- Takashi Nagasako is the voice of Darun... eh? Wait a sec... Hachi? Donkey Kong? GANONDORF?!!!!!
- Megumi Ogata is the voice of Nanase and Sharon.
- Iemasa Kayumi is the voice of Shadowgeist and Vulcano Rosso.
- Miki Ito voices Area.
- Tessho Genda reprises his role as Guile by virtue of Street Fighter II V. Kaneto Shiozawa does the same as Vega, reprising from Street Fighter II the Animated Movie and Street Fighter II V.
- Some of the Street Fighter Alpha cast reprised their roles, such as Ryu (Katashi Ishizuka), Ken (Tetsuya Iwanaga), Chun-Li (Yuko Miyamura), Zangief (Wataru Takagi), Dhalsim (Yoshiharu Yamada), Blanka (Yuji Ueda), M. Bison and Akuma (Tomomichi Nishimura).
- Jossed: Much misinformation has been spread about the series storyline due to it not being well known overseas. Some of the things that has been considered canon by fans are:
- Myth: "Sharon and Blair are sisters." / Truth: Blair is the heiress of a wealthy European family, while Sharon was orphaned as a child and never knew her true parents.
- Myth: "Hokuto and Hayate are lovers." / Truth: Hokuto and Hayate have nil to do with each other, although Hayate does end up being paired with a shrine maiden in his Japanese EX2 ending.
- Myth: "Skullomania and Shadowgeist are twin circus performers." / Truth: Skullomania is a Japanese businessman, while Shadowgeist is a vigilante from an unknown dystopian nation.
- There's another myth that Shadowgeist is Skullo's evil supervillain of an older brother and the heroic Skullomania must put him down. Again, untrue (despite the similarities between their movesets). Plus, Shadowgeist is an anti-hero at worst.
- Myth: "Kairi kills Akuma." / Truth: "Akuma simply disappears from the series, with no explanation given for his absence."
- Myth: "Garuda is Goutetsu's third student." / Truth: "Originally Garuda was an evil spirit created from the souls of fallen warriors killed by the Satsui no Hadou, but he was later retconned into an evil spirit created from humanity's negative emotions."
- Myth: "Hayate was killed off, which is why he doesn't appear in EX2 Plus and EX3 / Truth: "No explanation was ever given as to why Hayate was removed from the series."
- Talking to Himself:
- Kaneto Shiozawa voices Kairi and Vega.
- Megumi Ogata voices Sharon and Nanase; both characters made their debut in EX2.
- Iemasa Kayumi voices Vulcano Rosso and Shadowgeist.
- Tomomichi Nishimura voices M. Bison and Akuma again.
