• Hey, It's That Voice!: Denise Bryer, the voice of Commander Makara, went on to voice the villain Zelda in Gerry Anderson's Terrahawks. (Tony Lenny, one of the editors, also collaborated with the Terrahawks production.)
• What Might Have Been : DVD extras reveal that the British licencee attempted to buy the puppets and models from the Japanese production company with a view to making a sequel, only to discover that they had been mostly destroyed in a storage warehouse fire. The second series wouldn't have been a continuation, but a mirror universe retelling of the story with Lamia as the villain and Makara as the hero...
