Sonic Riders/Headscratchers

In Zero Gravity, whatever the Arks of the Cosmos pick up shoots off after a while and explodes. In the scene where the Babylon Rogues find an Ark (technically the first cutscene) he ends up picking up Wave and Storm. Not to say I'm upset about them not dying, but shouldn't they have blew up too?
- That's simply so that the stages don't become cluttered with wreck age. They never really made anything explode...except for that one time.
