Shifting Worlds/Heartwarming

  • When some of the residents of Gensokyo that are most related to Aurion/Saphir get ready for his, Cichol's, and the Dark Lord Morgant's return to Gensokyo at the Eweca Moon, Jonathan gets called by a few friends of Aurion's (Yeshaida, a friend, and Daisuke, his father) to visit Arietta's grave. He accepts, and travels through to their world to the Cheagle Forest to her burial place. Upon seeing her grave, Kanako Imrah breaks through Jonathan's mind in order to cry over her death again. However, before they leave and Kanako leaves Jonathan's mind, he places the keyblade Diamond Dust so that it makes a V-Shape and summons a picture of Aurion and Arietta on their wedding day, complete with the dresses they wore that day, as a (in his mind) small token of repentance for not being there for Arietta to protect her. Then, after Aurion was brought back from Cichol, he had a chance to revisit her grave and view the picture, both reaffirming Arietta forgiving me and Aurion's Heel Face Turn from Cichol.
  • In Hellgate 2 Part 2, when the group from Gensokyo that got warped back in time came upon the Black Spawn for the first time, the Spawn had killed the 3 Goddess sisters that had helped them purge the city Goruntuaff of the Dark Spores. In a way to give at least one sister, Ami--practically the only one whose body they found--a burial worthy of her status, Kanako Imrah and Aurion built up a diamond tomb for her, along with a spell tied to Mia or her next-in-line to transport it where they feel would be its' best resting spot. However, Mia died trying to get them back to their own time, leaving Kanako without a way to know if his gesture was heeded. However, after they knock the ever-loving daylights out of the Black Spawn, Patchouli takes Kanako down to the basement of the mansion's usual location, where she reveals to him the same diamond tomb that encased Ami had at the very least survived through the years to be found again, if not placed where Ami's followers thought was the best place to bury here. Even SDM, Asshole writer Extraordinare, felt tears in his eyes when he made the post.
  • Back in the time of Another World in Gensokyo, Animus was pretty much what he was in his source game, a tormented, crazed, immortal Death Seeker in perpetual physical and psychological pain. After a long rampage he effectued at the will of Desmond who freed him from his iron maiden, his path just happened to cross the path of Ken and Zelda (not THAT Zelda). Zelda frees him from an ice block he was imprisoned in, showing to him that people can actually be nice. Then, with a little help from a boltgun firing nuclear ICBM-level shots enchanted with an anti-immortality elixir Ken just happened to have, he manages to convince Animus to cease his rampage for a while to talk. What follows is a scene, more heartwarming for the fact that is was never actually planned in advance, over the course of which Animus learns of kindness, discovers he can be a useful member of society, and casts out his evil urges. It culminates with him taking a listen to this song and his reaction: "I feel like my soul has taken a rest after 400 years of eternal pain. I thank you, from the bottom of my heart... I thank you for helping me discover my heart... uncover it under the blood and gore of those 400 years..." really says it all.
  • Our heroes have finally sealed EX-Rumia for good and confined her back to the shape, power and mentality of a little girl, who remembers her carnage only as a vague dream and immediately asks, "You're here to beat me up, aren't you?" when she sees the people around her. After suffering a hundred dangers (directly or indirectly) by the fault of EX-Rumia, and going through a hundred more trials to get back her original seal from The Lich King, Kanako's response is to take her by the hand and tell her, "...No. I'm here to lead you home."
