Sempai-Kohai/Fan Works

Much to Kyon's delight in Kyon: Big Damn Hero, Kanae addresses him as Sempai. Haruhi lampshades this extremely quickly. Kyon is also very protective of her, and treats her like his little sister.
- As of Chapter 32, Kanae also refers to Haruhi as 'Suzumiya-sempai', which seems to provoke an interesting reaction...
In Drunkard's Walk VIII, main character Doug Sangnoir compares the self-organizing social structure of Hufflepuff House to multiple levels of sempai-kohai relationships, with almost everyone in the house having both a mentor and someone whom they mentor.
