General Fics
Stories focused on the family and the friendly relationships of the cast. Plot-focused stories or light day-in-the-life stories. Pretty much anything that isn't focused on romance.
Beautiful Dreamers (Part One, Part Two) by Elsa Bibat
- Recommended by Looney Toons
- Synopsis: It is 1927, and Sumire Kanzaki will never fight or sing with the other members of the Hanagumi Teikokukagekidan again—because after five years spent dreaming their adventures together every night as she slept, the Dream has finally ended. She must resign herself to being not the beautiful heiress and talented performer she was there, but the dumpy, ugly middle-class girl she is in "real life". Until by chance she encounters another member of the Hanagumi just as trapped in the real world as she is...
Aegis Florea (Part One: Commander Moreau, Part Two: Commander Moreau Reprise) by Benjamin "Gryphon" Hutchins/Eyrie Productions, Unlimited
- Recommended by Looney Toons
- Synopsis: This two-part story details how Sakura Taisen fits into the Mega Crossover setting Undocumented Features. In Part One, the immortal Author Avatar Gryphon—still in Exile, wanted for a crime he did not commit—is living on the Steampunk planet Ishiyama under the name "Peter Moreau" as a naval cadet when he is transferred into a most unusual military unit, based in a theatre. There he grows close to the members of the Hanagumi, until his hidden past is revealed. In Part Two, set decades later, after his name is cleared, we learn why he was forced to leave Ishiyama. At the prompting of his wife, Kei, he returns to Ishiyama for a bittersweet reunion with his teammates—and an unexpected complication.

- Comments: Be aware that this is an installment of Undocumented Features, and as such has crossover elements lurking at all turns. Kanna, for instance, is a (petite, slightly-built) Hoffmanite and Li Kohran is a humanized Salusian. And it goes without saying that the setting is not Tokyo in the 1920s. Still, the UF Verse background is not intrusive, and once you acknowledge it you can enjoy the story on its own merits.
