Sailor Nothing/YMMV
- Complete Monster -- Most Yamiko would be this, but have the solid excuse of being nothing more than a raging ball of id. Radon, however, plays it very straight. Even after having his mind cleared by the priestess he remains a treacherous, backstabbing Starscream. When pretending to be one of the good guys he still comes off as a total Knight Templar, and following his return to villainy he crosses the Moral Event Horizon in about ten seconds flat. He's also an arrogant, unpleasant Smug Snake and Jerkass extraordinare.
- High Octane Nightmare Fuel -- The six-year-old girl's Yamiko. The Super Yamiko. The fate of Ami.
- That six-year-old with a pencil.
"All I ever wanted was someone to play with, and they never would. Now you're trying to hurt me, too, and I have to hurt you back..."
- Hype Backlash: For some, especially those more familiar with modern fanfic conventions (ie exhaustively researching Japanese culture) or more recent deconstructions of the genre.
- It doesn't help that it's often tauted as "the best Magical Girl Deconstruction EVER", which pisses people off since it sounds extremely arrogant.
- The (currently not confirmed) rumors that many of the glowering blurbs about it on TV Tropes were written by the author himself or by people in close contact with him really do not help the comic's case.
- Magnificent Bastard: One could make a solid case for Argon, who has the three base tropes--Trickster, Manipulative Bastard, and Chessmaster--down pat. He's also a Large Ham, a deconstruction of the Noble Demon, and a Faux Affably Evil Mad Artist distinguished by his Genre Savvy and Undying Loyalty to the Yamiko queen.
- Stupid Evil: Most Yamiko. Exceptions include Pragmatic Villain Cobalt, Complete Monster Radon, and Dangerously Genre Savvy Argon.
- Unfortunate Implications: The Rape as Drama plot device is used WAY too much for many people's taste.
- The Woobie -- Poor Himei. Poor, poor Himei.
- Jerkass Woobie: Himei's pitiable, but also a total bitch.
