• Alas, Poor Villains: Some feel this way when the Tengun are killed.
• Complete Monster: Arguably Hikaru.
• Crosses the Line Twice
• Crowning Moment of Awesome: Yoshie transforming into a tank certainly qualifies. Even Yoshie herself thinks it's cool.
• Iron Woobie: Yoshie - even prior to her mechanical transformation. She is able to take multiple punches to the stomach, chest and windpipe from Kikuyakko, and doesn't have any noticeable damage to show for it.
• Jerkass Woobie: Kikuyakko.
• Moral Event Horizon: If Hikaru (plus his father) didn't cross it when he sets up a trap for Yoshie, hoping it will get her killed and forces Kikuyakko to watch the whole thing, then he certainly crosses it when he brainwashes Kikuyakko.
• MST3K Mantra: Write it out on a piece of paper and repeat it to yourself at regular intervals. You're gonna need it.
• Special Effects Failure: While most of the effects and makeup are pretty awesome, most of the High-Pressure Blood is a little too red and very obviously CG. Justified, as it's likely deliberately fake-looking in keeping with the film's B-Movie status.
• Squick: After reprogramming Kikuyakko into his personal slave, Hikaru kisses her whilst stroking her exposed brain. Eurrrrgghhh.
• Visual Effects of Awesome
