• Die for Our Ship: Hikaru gets nearly all the tropes associated with characters who are demonized in this manner. It doesn't help that she has been hated for decades because of the Love Triangle.
• High Octane Nightmare Fuel
• Moral Event Horizon: Hikaru's murders, particularly Kyosuke's. Yeah, hon, a broken heart is a terrible thing... but slashing his throat to cause him as much pain as you can? WTF.
• Ron the Death Eater: Poor, poor Hikaru.
• Unfortunate Implications: Hikaru has sex with lots of men in NY, while Madoka and Kyosuke are in a super commited relationship. Hikaru then shows up, goes crazy and kills them both. Eeeeeeeep.
