Resident Evil 2/Fridge
Fridge Brilliance
- If something radically altered your DNA, the first place the changes would show up would be at the sight of a wound, where cells are dividing rapidly and new tissue is being produced. What's the first part of William Birkin to mutate dramatically? His right arm, which was riddled with bullets during the laboratory break-in. In addition, Birkin only changes forms after you fight him; he gets more alien every time he heals.
Fridge Logic
- The S.T.A.R.S. office is still stocked and everyone's gear is still there even though, by that point, every single member has quit, died, or faked their own death.
- Not only that, but Resident Evil 3: Nemesis takes place chronologically before this game and Jilly V. visited the office to get some equipment of her own. How in gods name there is anything left for Clair and Leon to scavenge is seriously pushing suspension of disbelief.
- Well actually only parts of it take place before RE2 whilst the rest take place after (though in god's name I have no idea why when in 2 it clearly looked like the zombie outbreak was only beginning whilst in the opening cinematic of 3 it's gotten so out of control it can no longer be contained). In 3 you can clearly see that the Police station is already far more damaged than it was when Leon and Claire went through it (that an you'll even come across Marvin's body after he was killed). Some off the rooms are also boarded up; most of which you could go through in this game. RE2 and [[|Resident Evil 3|RE 3]] actually intertwine in some areas, but no 3 takes place after. Leon, Claire, and Sherry left Raccoon way before Jill,Carlos, and Barry; hell even before Ada escaped.
- In the ClaireA/LeonB scenario, Sherry is implanted with embryos by her mutated father. It's established by a document Claire finds that if the embryos are not genetically compatible with the host, they'll chew their way out and grow into a G-Imago. If they are compatible, however, they slowly transform the host's cells, turning the host into a true G-Virus monster like William. So the vaccine Claire gives to Sherry will stop her from becoming an eyeball-covered monstrosity... but since it will stop the cellular infection, won't it just cause the embryos to chest burst?
- The Devil vaccine causes the virus to go dormant in the host's system. Chest bursting only happens if you're incompatible with the G Monster who infected you; it won't just spawn a G baby.
- Shouldn't this fall into more of the Fridge Horror realm?
