Hey, It's That Guy!:
- Almost every episode from the first season guest stars at least one celebrity actor from Newfoundland or elsewhere in Canada. Stars from This Hour Has 22 Minutes, Corner Gas, Da Vincis Inquest, Alias, and The Listener have appeared so far.
- Done in universe when Jake recognizes a kidnapper and spends the next half of the episode trying to figure out where he's seen her before. Eventually they realize she's a local actress.
- Russell Crowe, Kevin Durand, Scott Grimes and Alan Doyle in the first episode of the third season.
- Shannon Tweed, of all people, made an appearance.
- Ranger Gord left his watchpost to become a smuggler (no, not of duct tape!). Still a bit barmy, too.
