Repo Men/YMMV

  • Anvilicious: Inverted, as parallels between the Union's agents leaving people to bleed to death, and Real Life health insurance companies letting sick clients die rather than paying for expensive treatments, is so downplayed that most people overlook it.
  • Crowning Moment of Awesome: Pretty much all of Remy's action scenes. One of the best ones is where he kills one of the Repo men with the typewriter.
  • Crowning Moment of Funny: The black market organ dealer...who turns out to be not the older woman but her four nine-year-old daughter.
    • " -takes out kneecap- Yaaaaay~ :D"
  • Designated Villain: The Union. Technically, the bionic organs are their property; their owners signed agreements and then defaulted on their payments; the Union is only really evil by the barbaric nature of their "repossession" process.
    • They do however attempt to conceal these methods, pressure families who can't afford organs into buying them (loan sharks/evil bankers) and fail to compensate Remy when their equipment wrecks his heart.
      • The whole thing is a satire on the idea human life can be bought and sold. One might argue about whether or not it should be legal for people to sell themselves into slavery, for example.
  • Ho Yay: Remy and Jake. Especially Jake.
  • Nightmare Fuel: Aside from the general concept of repossessing organs, when Remy is revealed to be hooked up to the Neural Net, as he's being wheeled down the hall, the slow smile on his face is a little unnerving, given his situation.
  • Squick: In spades.
