Red Steel 2/YMMV
- Fridge Logic: The town must have a really crappy economy.
- "Those bandits are robbing our banks! They're carrying off all our gold!" Apparently, there was so much of it, they stuck them in boxes around the town.
- Narm: "I'm gonna cut your throat with your own Katana! Poetic ain't it?"
- So Cool Its Awesome: All of the Hidden Moves and Powers. Some of the cooler ones include The Eagle, which knocks enemies fifteen feet in the air allowing you to either pump them with lead or jump up above them and deliver a Meteor Move and The Bear, which causes a tremor that knocks nearby enemies to the ground.
- Surprisingly Improved Sequel:The sequel is a paragon of this trope. By throwing out everything from last game, and building it from the ground up for the Motion+, and by not rushing it this time, the sequel has turned this series from utter crap into a great example of Wii games done right.
- Even Better Sequel: The first Red Steel was awesome, almost everything a Wii FPS should be, though not nearly as good as say, The Conduit, it was still a very decent game with a better two-player system than a lot of games. It was left to rot by bad reviews given by people by people who thought the controls would be different than they were, but didn't complain when every subsequent FPS used the same controls, and helped to it's tomb of Undeserved Mediocrity by gamers complaining about games they've never played. At the same time, there can be no denial that the sequel was far better, especially with the more colorful, exciting environments and protagonist and MUCH more extensive use of swordplay, which in the first game was regulated to certain bosses and minibosses.
