  • And the Fandom Rejoiced: Sea of Thieves, to the fandom it's Rare finally making a comeback for real. Since in the past, after the bought out, all they were making was motion capture stuff and tiny projects for Microsoft.
    • The Rare Replay which has most of Rare's old games that made them so great in the first place.
  • Awesome Music: Of particular note is David Wise, who is most famous for his work on the first three Donkey Kong Country games. Other notable composers for the company include Eveline Novakovic (née Fischer), Grant Kirkhope, and Robin Beanland.
  • It Got Worse: The more vocal crictics claim that this is pretty much the general consensus about their Microsoft era. Of course, there are quite a few fans who actually enjoy their Xbox games.
  • It's the Same, Now It Sucks: A criticism of the later Filmation games in the ZX Spectrum era. As one reviewer put it, they "started off as astonishing and ended up as dead boring, without actually decreasing in quality".
    • Back then, they traded as "Ultimate Play the Game", and many who bought (or at any rate reviewed) their Commodore64 games dubbed them "Ultimately All the Same".
  • They Changed It, Now It Sucks: (the move to Microsoft)
    • The change to a more generic logo has also sparked negative reaction from the fanbase.
      • Not to mention the exclusive focus on the Kinect...
