• Critical Research Failure: In Rainbow Brite and the Star Stealer, a newscaster lists several consequences of spring being overdue by a few days/weeks. One of these is a dropped birth rate, implying that people are too depressed to make love. Wait, how long is human gestation again?
  • Might that have been a reference to baby animals being born in the spring? And thus, if spring doesn't come, they can't be born?
    • Nope, still doesn't make a whole lot of sense. Besides, while spring does tend to come on a fairly consistent basis, a few days or weeks of things being out of whack isn't really going to doom the world. Now, when it's been a few months, that's when you start to get anxious.
  • Possibly the effects of an increase in Clinical Depression or Polar T3 Syndrome. Temperament of the mother can play a big part during pregnancy. So there is probably a lot of miscarriages or stillborns since they aren't taking care of themselves let alone their child.
• Everyone Is Satan in Hell - The show was accused of being "Satanic" by loonies because it contains "occult" symbols like stars and rainbows.
