Puff the Magic Dragon (song)/YMMV
- Ear Worm: The original song. Other songs introduced in the films qualify as well.
- Tear Jerker: Admit it.
- What Do You Mean It Wasn't Made on Drugs?: Yarrow insists that the song is entirely innocent and has no meanings beyond the obvious. Nevertheless, it's widely believed that the song is some sort of extended drug reference. (As seen in Meet the Parents; Greg Focker believes this hypothesis)
- According to The Other Wiki, the Singaporeans believed such, too. To the point where the song was banned in 1963 out of concerns that it references marijuana use.
- As far as the song goes, pretty much a case of Death of the Author by a Misaimed Fandom, because, as detailed by the other wiki, the lyrics are based off of something written by Leonard Lipton to get the poem "Custard the Dragon" out of his head. In fact, he gets royalties.
- The films have a lot to answer for, what with Puff encouraging children to view the world through insight-granting clouds of smoke.
