Priyanka Chopra
Priyanka Chopra Jonas (born Priyanka Chopra) is an Indian actress and former Miss World. Before starting her acting career, she worked as a model and gained fame after winning the Miss World title in 2000.
Chopra made her acting debut with the 2002 Tamil film Thamizhan. The following year, she made her Bollywood debut with The Hero: Love Story of a Spy and followed it with the commercially successful Andaaz, for which she won a Filmfare Best Female Debut Award. In 2004 she became the second woman to win the Filmfare Best Villain Award for her critically acclaimed performance in Aitraaz. Chopra would later have commercial success with films like Mujhse Shaadi Karogi (2004), Krrish (2006), her biggest commercial success so far, and Don - The Chase Begins Again (2006). Chopra earned a Filmfare Best Actress Award for her portrayal of a model in Fashion (2008). Co-starred with John Abraham and Abhishek Bachchan in Dostana.
From 2009 onwards, she has expanded her range and taken increasingly challenging roles, like the Femme Fatale Broken Bird protagonist in 7 Khoon Maaf, all 12 Love Interests in What's Your Raashee?, the Olympic boxer Mary Kom in a biopic of the same name, an autistic woman who falls in love with a deaf, mute man in Barfi!, and Kashibai, the first wife of the Maratha Bajirao I who tolerates and sort of encourages her husband affair in Bajirao Mastani. She debuted in Hollywood in 2017, as the antagonist in the much maligned film version of Baywatch, where she was unanimously considered the only salvageable thing of that film. Since 2015, she stars as Alex Parrish on the ABC thriller series Quantico. She also voices Kamala Khan (the current Ms. Marvel) in the mobile game Marvel Avengers Academy.
Chopra is also a singer and songwriter, and has gotten moderate success outside India. She has collaborated with will.i.am, Pitbull (proving that he has worked with everyone) and The Chainsmokers. She has songs as a playback singer for at least five films, including the title song of Dil Dhadakne Do which she also starred.
