Police, Camera, Action!/YMMV

  • Anvilicious: For the entire 1994-1996 series, but opinions differ. Subverted from 1997 onwards.
  • Better on DVD: Well, it would appear so...
  • Crowning Moment of Funny: The "And finally..." ending that was on episodes between 1994 to 2002, and some parts of the 2007 series (in particular the episode Under Surveillance).
  • Cult Classic: Fan demand for a DVD of the show has skyrocketed since the 2006 re-airings of the show, and numerous discussion abates on various TV-related sites.
  • Family-Unfriendly Aesop: Even for a police show, well, it happens...
  • Growing the Beard: From the 1995 episode Tales of the Unexpected and Helicops. Seems to do this every series.
  • High Octane Nightmare Fuel: A sequence involving a blue Ford Sierra in the 2002 episode Motorway Manners. Probably (AFAIK) the only literal example of this trope living up to the name.
  • Internet Backdraft: Subverted. The show seems to get a fan campaign all of its own, although the only gripes are missing episodes and the notorious Edited for Syndication trope. It is mostly praise, apart from on some sites.
  • Narm: Gethin Jones' episode Drink Driving Special.
  • Narm Charm: Gethin Jones' episode in 2008.
  • Periphery Demographic: Watched by all ages, a la Doctor Who, despite intended audience being for adults.
  • Some Anvils Need to Be Dropped: Some website and discussion sites were describing this show as "anvilicious" fairly recently about the episodes Safety Last (1995 episode), Tales of the Unexpected and Rust Buckets, although it's a matter of opinion as to whether they are or not.
