• Crowning Moment of Heartwarming -- Many to find in this series, but the most crowning of all is Sakura and Masashi's First Kiss.
• Moe -- Sakura.
• Viewer Gender Confusion -- Makoto is a girl, despite having a boyish hairstyle. Subverted for Rin later after her introduction; Sakura (and the readers) are first introduced to Rin as a girl wearing a dress with Girlish Pigtails, without any indication of Rin's biological gender. Tsuyoshi eventually reveals that "Rin is a guy" while Rin considers herself to be female.
• The Woobie -- Poor Suzuki is often at the Butt Monkey of Sakura's overprotective brothers, as they are keenly aware of Suzuki's crush on Sakura. This is always Played for Laughs. See Butt Monkey on the main page.
