Omamori Himari/YMMV
- Crowning Moment of Awesome:
- After Yuuto gets hurt protecting her, Himari has an Heroic BSOD, flips into Unstoppable Rage, and dismembers a giant by slicing its right arm off. She then proceeds to nearly kill another demon who attacked them and is only stopped by Yuuto, who's afraid her Super-Powered Evil Side might take over.
- The first time Yuuto steps in to break up a fight with the fact that he really believes in his heart that everyone can get along as his only weapon.
- After Himari goes into an Unstoppable Rage, Yuuto then steps in and stops her Super-Powered Evil Side with a stick. And when Yuuto says stop, he means stop.
- Happens at the climax of the anime Himari is forced to go fully over to her Super-Powered Evil Side (which includes a further physical transformation), Yuuto manages to stop her from killing him with a hug. Yes, a hug. He then goes on to fully empower her Good Side to kill Shuten Douji. This in the anime marks his first conscious use of his Demon Slayer power, and may also count as Took a Level in Badass.
- Crowning Moment of Heartwarming:
- The Cooldown Hug in chapter 33 of the manga.
- Himari's First Kiss in episode 6 of the anime, Koshimizu Ami's sincere performance conveyed the adorable innocence, vulnerability and joy of that moment marvelously.
- Ear Worm: The closing credits.
- Fridge Horror: Shizuku is certain that lolis are irresistible to most males, to the point that she questions Yuuto's masculinity because he shows no sign of wanting to have sex with her, no matter how often and blatantly she comes on to him. What sort of (and how many) experiences, in the hundred years or so after the death of her family, formed that certainty?
- Nightmare Fuel:
- Adorable little loli Tama pinned Himari down, ripped her shirt off, and took a huge, bloody bite out of her chest. Yes, they'd previously stated she ate other Ayakashi, who knew it was that literal in the manga.
- In the anime, Tama instead leaves bite marks much like a vampire's...in Himari's chest, the first time they meet. The second time, it's in the neck. Toned down for TV, obviously.
- For some, Shizuku's very, very long and snake-like tongue probably qualifies for this, too, if it isn't Fetish Fuel. Though they both fuels may overlap...

- OT3 - Yuuto/Himari/Rinko, Yuuto/Himari/Kuesu, Yuuto/Liz/Kuesu, Yuuto/Rinko/Kuesu, the list goes on and on.
- Likely an OT4, maybe even OT5. Yuuto/Himari/Shizuku/Kuesu, and maybe Rinko or Lizlet added in. Tama, if he can convert her. Actually, let's just go for a Tenchi Solution.
- The most likely grouping would be a OT4 of Yuuto, Rinko, Himari, and Kuesu. Rinko because he knows her so well and has known her for so long; Himari because she was the first to know and befriend him (and she's the maga's title); and Kuesu because she was the first human girl that he met (who also stole his first kiss).
- Viewer Gender Confusion: It's an Fundamentally Female Cast. There are two kinds of guys, the obviously male, and the kind who are easily confused as female. There's even a "Dropped a Bridget On Him", since the characters are as mistaken about the gender of that boy-youkai as the viewers are.
- What an Idiot!: Hyogo Kaburagi, the Section 4 guy. Yes, making a deal with an Exclusively Evil demon to not harm humans, who's pissed off at humans for stopping him a long time ago is not going to backfire in any way.
- What Measure Is a Non-Badass?: Yuuto is often disliked for letting the girls do all the fighting and always needing to be saved. While he does have powers, they seemingly only show up when he or someone important to him is in mortal danger. THEN, however, any weapon he wields gets magically enchanted, and he is able to summon a Pillar of Light, knocking out even a raging Himari. Also, as of Chapter 43, he's coordinating their attacks against Tama.
