Nick Verse

This is the Nickelodeon equivalent to the Disney Channel Live Action Universe.

The Nick Verse was generally not based around deliberate crossovers, until Victorious started, which does have several crossovers all intended to push Victorious to people who might have watched older shows but not it.

Before Victorious, a blasé approach to continuity led to a melding of some quite complicated Recursive Canon-esque elements in certain Nick shows. It is sometimes called the Schneiderverse, but some of the tangentially related shows aren't created by him and due to the potential for future Crossovers the scope of what shows are in the Nick Verse could widen beyond just his shows.

Series confirmed to be in the Nick Verse

Series that are in the Nick Verse as a fictional show but also exist in Real Life

  • All That: Kenan Thompson references the cast of the show in the iCarly/Victorious crossover. As a sketch comedy show the actual characters aren't real like Carly, Tori, Zoey and so on are, but the actors playing them would be.
  • Fred: He shows up in the iCarly episode iMeet Fred.
  • Drake and Josh: In the Victorious episode, "Who Did It to Trina?", Cat explains a scene from a Drake and Josh episode, after which her friends explain that that wasn't real, it happened in a TV show: Drake and Josh. The show can also be seen on Carly's listings on her TV in the iCarly episode, "iPear Store".
    • Which completely contradicts the previous episode where Helen showed up, and referenced Crazy Steve.
  • Zoey101: As with Drake and Josh, the show is listed on Carly's TV in the aforementioned episode.

  • The show with Zeebo from iCarly Saves TV. A producer wants to create a TV show from iCarly. After Hilarity Ensues, the show is back in it's original format, a show about an obnoxious dinosaur named Zeebo and a bratty teenage girl that has nothing to do with iCarly at all.
  • Celebrities Underwater.
  • Drew And Jerry.
  • The iCarly webshow.
  • Girly Cow.

Shows which may be in the Nick Verse but are unconfirmed

  • Big Time Rush
  • True Jackson, VP. No direct crossovers with any of the confirmed shows, although some of the actors make appearances in other roles. With production on the show now ended, it's likely the only way any confirmation will occur is if any of the currently airing shows make refernces to elements of the series.
  • Kenan and Kel. With Kenan Thompson showing up As Himself in the iCarly/Victorious crossover, it makes it unlikely. But as Drake Bell showed up As Himself and Drake and Josh are still part of the same universe, it is possible.

Shows which are not in the Nick Verse.

  • The Troop. No direct crossovers. Unlikely due to not sharing any crew/writers/production company and being completely out of the genre every other show that is in the Nick Verse is part of.

People who are different in the Nick Verse and in Real Life or otherwise mentioned or notable.

  • David Schwimmer could be dead or alive, depending on if he survived his experience in Celebrities Underwater.
Tropes used in Nick Verse include:
  • Alternate Company Equivalent: Many of the shows or stars could be considered this to Disney Channel, for example Big Time Rush to JONAS, Miranda Cosgrove to Miley Cyrus, etc.
  • Common Crossover: Daka Shoes, Pearpods (an Ersatz of Apple products), Wahoo Punch, Blix and several other real world brand Expies.
  • Continuity Snarl: The concrete canon nature that all four shows exist as reality with each other, then having the cast of Victorious say that Drake and Josh was a tv show. This came the episode after they had Helen, a major character on Drake and Josh show up on Victorious and reference Crazy Steve.
  • Celebrity Paradox: Several actors have shown up as themselves on various shows in the Nick Verse despite playing characters that exist as real in the same universe. The most obvious example would be Drake Bell showing up on Zoey 101 as himself, despite his character Drake Parker existing as a real person in the same universe that Zoey 101 and all the other Nick Verse shows are part of. This is an aversion of Celebrity Paradox.
  • Hey, It's That Guy!: Just go further up the page to see the extent of this, and just to be clear - That's just the people who've played multiple characters.
  • Jerkass': ALL!! OVER!! THE!! PLACE'!! That includes the lead characters in several of the shows!
  • Laugh Track. Pretty much every show that isn't Zoey 101.
  • Loads and Loads of Characters: What happens when a canon interpretation can include every actor in addition to every role they have ever played.
  • Production Posse: Part of the reason why there are 3 or 4 different versions of people, the main force behind the shows in the Nick Verse reuses actors as well as finding future lead stars by casting them in guest or less than starring roles whilst they are younger.
  • Recursive Reality/Recursive Canon/Mutually Fictional: Probably averted (probably because of how complex these tropes are). Even though Drake and Josh exists in the same universe as the rest of the shows (as can be seen above) the Victorious episode Who Did It To Trina has the characters come out and say that Drake and Josh was a TV Show. Despite this, neither of these tropes probably (again, complex) apply.
  • You Look Familiar: In the Victorious/iCarly crossover, Freddie remarks that Tori looks like Shelby, but that Tori is hotter.
