Morwen Tindomerel is the handle of a writer at fanfiction.net. As her nom-de-plume suggests she was originally a Lord of the Rings fanfic writer but has since branched out into several other fandoms. She also has an unfortunate tendency to leave WIP hanging - sometimes for years.

Morwen Tindomerel provides examples of the following tropes:

• Acceptable Breaks From Canon - Your Mileage May Vary
• Alternate Universe Fic - In spades, she seems incapable of sticking to canon in ANY fandom.
• Backstory - who knew Aragorn had so many relatives...
• Better Than Canon - There are those who prefer her version of 'AOTC' with a living Qui-Gon and a less whiny Anakin. Of course others consider it Canon Defilement.
• The Clan - It isn't just Aragorn who suddenly has oodles of relatives.
• Costume Porn - definitely a weakness
• Dead Fic - or at least hibernating.
• Did Not Do the Research - Averted. She may not follow canon but she definitely knows it.
• Elsewhere Fic - Oh Yeah! Examples in both Discworld and Percy Jackson fandoms not to mention Rangers of the North and The King's Folk.
• Fanon - Oodles and oodles of it.
• Fan Verse - All Lot R fics belong to the same continuity. Star Wars fics belong to two different continuities that even Morwen Tindomerel has trouble keeping straight.
• Loads and Loads of Characters - mostly OC
• Original Character - Oh dear Lord yes!
• Wanton Cruelty to the Common Comma - The spellcheck feature has helped but Morwen is still queen of the comma-splice and earlier stories are a challenge to read.
