• Complete Monster: Shock and Thunder. They are selfish, brutal and have absolutely no redeeming qualities whatsoever. In any other Verse they would only look like petty and generic thugs, but in Equestria they are seen as reprehensible because they are ponies. However, even Rainbow Dash felt sorry for them after they were horribly murdered by the Grundels.
  • How can you mention Shock and Thunder and forget Tirac?
    • Considering that Discord is his second in command, what does that tell you?
• Faux Affably Evil: When he's not roaring with inexpressible rage Tirac certainly seems to be a jolly individual; giggling manically, Chewing the Scenery, capering about like a vaudeville villain, plotting to torture the entire universe to death, forcing someone to peel off their own face, butchering dozens of innocent Unwitting Pawns, etc...
• High Octane Nightmare Fuel: The captured Grundel commits suicide by biting off his own tongue, swallowing it, and then breaks his own jaw shut so his interrogators cannot stop him from choking to death. Wow. And of course it's described step-by-step in such wonderful detail.
  • Granodiorite's death at the hands of Tirac definitely counts, this troper would rather not describe in detail what that poor Grundel goes through, it may also be considered a tearjerker moment.
• Ugly Cute: Worker Grundels. They are constantly described as massive green skinned trolls with long teeth, scary claws and terrible body odor (but only when upset). They are also incredibly polite, kind and just downright innocent. They seem to be nicer than ponies!
