Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance/Awesome
Raiden
- In a moment that also doubles as Nightmare Fuel, when Raiden finally decides to quit trying to restrain the demon inside. And decides to become his Super-Powered Evil Side, Jack The Ripper again. Comes complete with Red Eyes Take Warning, Evil Costume Switch, and a transformation into a pants shittingly scary Terror Hero.
Jetstream Sam
- His first moment of awesome comes from when he effortlessly curbstomps Raiden, who up until that point had been doing all sorts of awesome stuff, up to and including renting a Metal Gear RAY in twain.
- He gets another when he delivers a Hannibal Lecture to Raiden, who justifies his enemies dying as mercenaries who made their choice. Sam deconstructs this beautifully by saying, yeah, they agreed to be contracted as paid killers, but a lot of them did so out of needing a job, being dirt poor, needing to put bread on the table for their loved ones, and most not having any other alternative, but yeah, if it helps Raiden sleep at night, they made their choice.
Mistral
- It also doubles a Crowning Moment of Funny, but when Mistral catches Raiden doing recon on her, she immediately faces his direction and blows him a kiss, complete with a heart, and he practically shits himself. Bear in mind he's already had his arm and left eye taken out in a very brutal manner (replaced at this point) and had to fight a Metal Gear RAY once again not too long before, and THIS manages to unnerve the hell out of him.
Armstrong
- His reveal to Raiden that Raiden's actions to stop Operation Tecumseh had the exact opposite effect.
- Revealing he doesn't need Metal Gear Excelsus to kick your ass.
- To elaborate, Armstrong has nanomachines implemented in his body that harden in response to physical trauma and make him ludicrously strong, making him pretty much invulnerable to anything Raiden does to him. He then spends not one fight, but two beating the absolute shit out of Raiden while going off on the mother of all motive rants, until Raiden gets some timely help from Bladewolf and Sam post-mortem and engages in a difficult but fun battle surrounded by the firey wreck of Metal Gear Excelsus, with fittingly fantastic music blaring in the background.
