- Canon Sue - Keaton is a mix of MacGyver, Sherlock Holmes and Bruce Lee. It works because he's so laid back. His experience is justified in that he's worked as University Professor, saw conflict as a SAS sergeant in the Falklands, and currently works as an insurance fraud investigator.
- Alternately, he's Michael Weston, only 10-20 years older, with a teenage daughter, and not trying so hard to be cool.
